A happy Labour Day to you. I left you on your own last Friday, victims of my forgetfulness. I was in line at the border heading down to Seattle on Friday when I suddenly remembered I’d forgotten to blog. D’oh!
The images above are just a couple snaps from the event at Studio-R, the HQ for Blackrapid, makers of the R-Strap in Seattle. We had a lovely turn-out and Ron, the owner of Blackrapid, wined and dined us with some phenomenal pizza and nice wines. Then we all settled in and had a chat for a couple hours. It was a wonderful way to spend an evening. Friends were made, books were signed, pizza was eaten.
Studio-R has a great vibe and on the walls behind me you’ll see some nice prints, all by Larry Larsen, a Seattle photographer, great guy, and – as it happens – a regular around these here PixelatedImage parts. Looking at Larry’s work was a bonus on Friday evening, and there were 3 series – a B/W series taken on a workshop with Sam Abell (lucky!), a colour series taken around Seattle, and a series from Morocco. Larry’s been kind enough to let me show some of those images below.
Larry, thanks for sharing your images with us. You can see more of Larry’s work at lllarsenImages.com. Thanks again to the gang at Blackrapid for hosting the event. And thanks to all you who came. Hope you’ve all had a great long weekend. See you tomorrow.
