Runaway Bay, Jamaica, 2010

Merry Christmas from Jamaica. Spent today chilling. And swimming, And then, uh, swimming with a horse. Lovely here. I’m not really a resort kind of person, so when Robert came by offering rides I ran into the water with the camera. I think he was a little confused when I told him I just wanted to swim with them and not ride the horse. Anyways, having a blast, in a relaxed kind of way. I was really moved by all the happy Birthday wishes this week – thank you so much. I trust you’ve had a great holiday.

  1. oh wow, Jamaica!
Just googled your blog cause I’ve been watching parts of your workshop at CreativeLive. I love the way you write here on your blog, I’ll check out the books too πŸ™‚

If you ever want to shoot in the Amazon rainforest, I hope you decide to visit Suriname. Just let me know so I can tag along πŸ˜€

Thanks for being such a true inspiration.
    Have a great Holiday Season!

  2. Greetings from China … Love this image. Just bought 6 of your amazing (and seriously cheap) e-books; I’m officially a fan …

the candy trail … a nomad across the planet, since 1988

PS: Glad you enjoyed my home country: New Zealand (and enjoyed the red …)

  3. Awesome shot! I’m so jealous, I would love to get an underwater housing for my camera…looks fun! Hope the learning curve isn’t too bad. Santa got me a new battery grip for my D700 and a teleconverter – can’t wait to start using it! It’s just what I need for the rut I’ve been in lately regarding my photography! Hope you had an amazing birthday and a Merry Christmas! I just picked up Within the Frame AGAIN – always helps when I’m in a creative rut!

  4. Cool shot. Did you use an underwater housing on your DSLR for this or just a water resistant point-and-shoot?

  5. Merry Christmas David, and happy birthday on the 24’th πŸ™‚ Received your two latest books for christmas, Visionmongers and Vision & Voice, and I’m really looking forward to reading them πŸ™‚
