Poet Charles Bukowski says “find what you love and let it kill you” But that advice, edgy as it sounds doesn’t sit right with me anymore. But there’s another poet, also named Charles, and I like his life advice much more. Charles Baudelaire says “find what intoxicates you and let it give you life.” Or that’s how I read it. Let’s talk about it.
I’ve decided to begin posting my weekly podcast here to my blog, as well as the other platforms, just to make it easy to get to everything I make in one place. You can still get it at aBeautifulAnarchy.com or on iTunes, Spotify, and the usual other suspects.
You can also download the mp3 file here and you can read the transcript here.
One of the reasons I am doing this is there is no way to leave comments through the other platforms, but you can do so here. In the coming months I’ll be less and less on social media. It might be a permanent move away from the world of Facebook and Instagram, it might not, but I want to be sure I remain available and that our conversations continue.
Want to be told when new episodes are live and ready for you? I’ll send you a very brief email to let you know it’s there. I’ll also send you every issue of On The Make, which comes out every 4 weeks when the podcast isn’t airing. Just click here and let me know where to send it.

Very inspiring thoughts David – Thanks!
And many greetings from Munich.
It’s funny, but you are the 2nd person today I heard mention getting off social media. I appreciate it could be a challenge, but I hear ya. Find what you love and approach it with – Attention, Intention and a kind, compassionate and thoughtful Attitude… Cheers.
You do it all David! I was unaware of your podcasts, will have to give them a listen. Very cool and inspiring! Thank you.
Thanks, Greg! I hope you find something in them that’s helpful.
It’s funny how random life is. And how wonderful things can happy without no plan or strategy at all. With less than a handful of clicks through the world wide web I found myself on this page, listening to Episode 27–of course knowing nothing about the 26 that came before it.
What a pleasant surprise to find something that resonates so much on an otherwise ho-hum day.
Thanks David. I look forward to diving deeper into your work and hearing those other 26 episodes.
I’m glad you found me, Matt. Thank you for that. I hope you find some good things among my many words. 🙂
Incredibly inspiring and beautifully said! Thank you!
Thank you, Larisa. I live to know I’m being helpful. 🙂
